That's why hero/hench teams can never let you down.

It sounds as if your heroes went to a different school than mine did.

About 95% of the time I'm with a group, I have a leaver (5 out of 100 groups or 1 out of 25) When a person leaves W/O LOGGING OUT, it because of a following reasons.
1) Guild needs them 2) friend needs them 3)Because the team won't make it 4)Brought wrong skills 5)becuase he/she is a jerk I almost never have a leaver in my group. Most of the time, I have a guild member or allaince buddy to help. I'm in a good guild, so about 90% of the time I ask for help I get it, if you guild or allaince can't help """ever""", it may not be a good guild. |

Always have a 2-3 minute premission chat before you enter the mission. Have everyone ping builds, talk about what you're supposed to do, etc. Not only do you coordinate skills better, but the impatient folks and the complete jerks make themselves known and weed themselves out.

Yep heroes are only as good as their owner, learn to use flag tactic, set their AI to defence, learn which skills work best on them, call target so they can focus fire. I set both my monks to passive, keep them out of troble most of the time.

Some people seem to forget that heroes aren't always the answer for everyone. What if you haven't played anything except one or two professions? You won't have vital skills unlocked for good hero builds, and you probably won't even understand how to make a good build for a profession you're not familiar with. Your heroes will most likely end up being rather useless or just about on the same level with hench.
Hench work most of the time, but even they are not the best choice for everything. The average player has a hard time beating any campaign with just hench, so it is always nice to have a few real people in the team too. Anyway, the best advice is to join a nice, active guild with lots of helpful members. They aren't as rare as you may think, and most are pretty easy to find once you ignore most of the guild recruit spam in Local channel that begs people to join. If you like doing missions and quests with people, once you find a person who is nice and you like their playstyle, ask them if their guild is looking for new members. Also, look through the guild recruit posts in Guru. Most of the fun, active people in GW are in good guilds these days. And with a good guild, you never see them advertising for groups because they can always get someone from their guild to help out. |
